About Us

Our History

Our Beginnings

1994

1701 Wilson St, Braddock

Gumpher Electrical Service began as a small, neighborhood operation. As a guy-in-a-van operation, co-owners Lori and David Gumpher Sr. built a reputation for reliable, high-quality electrical work. At the heart of the business was a dedication to delivering dependable service and building long-lasting relationships.

Early Growth

2005

Storage & Operational Building

Lori and David Gumpher purchased their first storage building on Grandview Avenue to support growing demand driven by word-of-mouth referrals earned through consistently high-quality work. This expansion provided the space and resources needed to better serve customers and continue scaling operations.

2008

Gumpher, Inc.

The business was formally incorporated as Gumpher Electrical Service, marking a key milestone in the development of the company and long-term plans for the business.

2010

99 Center St.

Gumpher acquired and renovated its first true company facility. The 6,500-square-foot building in East Pittsburgh signaled the transition from a small operation to a growing, structured organization.

2019

519 Bessemer Ave

As Gumpher continued to grow, the company acquired a new facility and relocated its main office, marking an important milestone in its history. The investment provided the space needed to support a growing team and expanding operations, while also helping position the company for larger opportunities.
